Dog Walking Service

Firstly, I accompany you on a walk with your dog so we can get to know each other. I will observe your dog's behaviour and commands you use with your dog, so that we maintain consistency.

I will then visit you at your home prior to my first walk with your dog to say "hello" in their own environment. I will collect a key, if required, and make a note of the commands your dog knows. At this point, I will take details of contact telephone numbers, your vet's number, just in case, and check your dog's vaccination card is up to date.

I walk dogs at a variety of Country Parks including Capstone, Darland Banks, Riverside, Kings Frith and Southwood Woods. I am quite flexible as to where we walk if you have a preference.

Dogs will be allowed off their lead as long as the owner has signed the disclaimer form to say that they give permission for their dog to be walked off the lead. I will walk a new dog on a one-to-one basis at first to build a bond and ensure the recall is established prior to coming off their lead and joining a group walk. Dogs love to run and play which can make group walks such fun. I only put dogs on a group walk if I know that they are of a similar temperament and enjoy the company of other dogs.

Group walks will have a maximum of four dogs.

Toys are provided on a walk if desired to ensure a stimulating and fun time.

I provide treats as a reward for your dog if permission has been given to do so, due to any dietary restrictions.

Sticks will not be thrown for any dog under any circumstances as it is far too dangerous.

Fresh water will be provided for your dog at the end of every walk.

I provide poop scoop bags and will ensure all deposits are cleared up.

All dogs are safely transported in my Vauxhall Zafira which has a TransK9 dog crate in the back. I can also transport dogs on the back seat safely harnessed if you prefer this option.

I am afraid I cannot allow bitches that are in season in my car, but I am happy to lead walk them from the house on a road walk instead.

Should you give me a key to your home, I can assure you that it is kept securely. Security will be discussed at our initial meeting.

During wet and muddy conditions, I will towel dry your dog off so as to ensure your dog does not shake leaving wet and muddy splash marks up the kitchen units! I will leave your dog safely in your designated area. The dog's water bowl will be refilled prior to leaving your house securely locked back up.

I do not charge a retainer fee whilst you are on holiday. If your dog is ill and cannot be walked, likewise, I will not charge.

Prices for a group walk within my area are £10 per dog for an hour's walk, a second dog from the same household is a further £5. I do not charge a fee to collect a key.

One-to-one walks start from £10 per forty minutes. Ideal for recall training purposes.

A cancellation charge will be made if a customer frequently cancels a dog walk at very short notice due to any other reason than that of the dog being ill. I understand if occasionally my service is not needed at short notice, however, should the same customer keep cancelling walks at short notice then I will charge a cancellation fee.

Please feel free to e-mail or call me to discuss any requirements.
